Nancy A. Herman, Founder & CEO

 With a 30 year track record in healthcare finance, Nancy brings extensive knowledge in the raising/structuring of capital, strategic planning, and mergers & acquisitions to her clients. She began underwriting and originating healthcare transactions while at TransOhio Savings Bank in 1986. Nancy left TSB to form United Financial Group, Inc., which specialized in securing financing for skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living facilities. She developed a broad network of lending sources, as well as an expansive base of clientele. Nancy was also active in the M&A arena, assisting clients in the sale/acquisition of long term care facilities.

While at UFG, Nancy joined Key Healthcare Finance as a Consultant in 1998 to set up the healthcare securitization/ conduit program. Once completed, she accepted a hired position as Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager. Nancy became a top producer in the division, and completed numerous transactions involving construction, permanent and acquisition financing, letters of credit, lines of credit, derivatives, synthetic leases and syndication. Her client base consisted of both national and regional owners/operators, including public, private and not-for-profit companies. Nancy left Key Bank to form Resor Financial Group in 2000. RFG closed over $3 Billion in transactions during its 15 year partnership and the deep relationships with capital resources, owners, operators, developers and investors carry forward through Capital Pointe Advisors.

Ms. Herman obtained her undergraduate degree in 1984 from Cleveland State University (“CSU”), and has completed work toward her MBA from CSU.

Keith Baron, Partner & Executive Vice President

Keith has an impressive background in healthcare finance, with over 14 years in the sector. Prior to joining Capital Pointe, Keith was Vice President of the Healthcare & Nonprofit Banking Group at RBS Citizens Bank. Prior to Citizens, Keith worked as a Vice President in Huntington Bank’s Healthcare Group and spent nearly 10 years at Fifth Third Bank, 7 of those years as a Portfolio Manager in the Healthcare Capital Markets Group.

Throughout his career Keith has interfaced with a variety of healthcare providers including skilled nursing facilities, sub-acute/rehab, assisted living, memory care, seniors housing, hospitals, CCRC’s, medical office buildings, healthcare related manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers, and medical professional groups, as well as not-for-profit institutions.

Keith earned his MBA with a concentration in accounting from Case Western Reserve University in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ohio University. Keith is a twelve-year team captain for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s MS Walk. A lifelong Clevelander, Keith and his family reside in Beachwood.

Martina Norton, Senior Financial Analyst & Vice President

Martina joined Capital Pointe Advisors after working 13 years for Resor Financial Group as Senior Analyst, working exclusively in the long term care and seniors housing sectors. Prior to joining Resor Financial Group, she held the position as Senior Credit Analyst at Picker Financial Group (PFG), a captive healthcare finance company where she gained expertise in analyzing the operations of public, private and non-profit healthcare organizations as well as overseeing collections and portfolio review for a $125,000,000 portfolio.
